I'm currently a junior in high school and I'm really interested in political science. I'm planning to do a summer program at a college during the summer before senior year and I want to get some feedback. What colleges have some good political summer programs for students? I know Georgetown has one, is it good? Even business and math programs are fine for me.

Next fall is an election year (not presidential, but house of representatives and 1/3 of Senate seats). Instead of doing a summer program, why don’t you dive into volunteering on a political campaign? You will learn a lot more than you ever could in a classrooms. Or pick a ballot issue and go to work on that.

^^I agree, working on a political campaign of any stripe will be a great EC and might even give you an essay or two.

Going to a college for a summer program will cost a great deal of money and be worth nearly zero toward getting into college. Although colleges like you to think they are worthwhile and look great on your resume, the reality is they are just profit centers for colleges, tell colleges that your parents have lots of money, and that you aren’t creative enough to think of anything to do over the summer except sign up for some program at a name college.
