High School Transcript?

Hi,

I’m interested in transferring to my dream school. I’m not in college yet (I know, I know) but don’t have good enough scores and GPA to be admitted. Whether I attend a community college or a state college, how important is the High School Transcript for schools like Columbia, John Hopkins & Yale? My past gpa was a 2.9. My SAT score is a 2060, I will be retaking. Even if I perfected all standardized testing (ACT, SAT, 6 Subject Tests), did numerous research, community service and published a paper (etc etc, typically high rising student stuff) would my high school transcript be enough to destroy my chances? I know my chances are extremely low as transferring is much more difficult.

if you’re transferring for your sophomore year, colleges will look heavily on your college grades and be looking at your highschool grades . this is because you’ve only completed one year of college and colleges need more grades to look at your progress. so maybe try to transfer during your junior year and do really well in college. but since you’re trying to apply for some of the best universities, transfer admission are very slim.
