High School Varsity Sports

Hey guys,

I was wondering if one varsity sport is enough.

I know varsity sports can be a big deal and a great EC to have, but honestly, I’m just not that good at sports except squash (a New England independent school-type sport), which I’m on a fairly competitive team, hard schedule.

A lot of my peers in comparison have 2 or 3 varsity sports under their belts, although I am a higher academic achiever than them. I play more JV and thirds teams, which anyways is the same time commitment but truthfully, I am less talented and just not a sporty guy.

Will colleges know/understand everyone cannot be good at sports? Is one varsity sport enough if it is complemented with stronger art and music profiles?

You don’t need any varsity sports. You have one. With respect to your applications, you can move past this consideration.
