Do you have a job? Sortof. Will elaborate below. If yes where? I’m a free-lance artist. I do commissions in my spare time, and I sell my work/merchandise at conventions. I’m thinking of trying to start selling my own silk-screened graphic tee-shirts over this summer. I’m part of the NAHS Club at my school, and we silk-screened Hope for Japan tee-shirts to raise donations for tsunami/earthquake aid. I’m thinking of using the profits from whatever I raise over the summer to a fund I really believe in. I know that JWAC hasn’t been able to raise a lot of money towards achieving the millennium goals, so I’ll probably dedicate the money to raising money for Invisible Children or building schools/desks in impoverished areas of the world. I’m actually very excited about this venture. (: Age/ Grade I’m 16 (my birthday will be on the 31st), and I’m in 11th grade.

Do you know what you want to major in? Visual art, social sciences, linguistics, or history. Maybe political science, but I’m definitely more geography > law. I have a very global mindset. I want to do something that involves working together across national lines. I’d like to help save a city that’s dying, as they say. I grew up very unhappy and in the stagnant decay of the surburbs. I want families and people to have a better experience while I’m doing something I love. Know what college(s) you want to go to? I’m interested in the RISD-Brown dual program, Yale, and Harvard.

Do you have a job? Yes

Know what college(s) you want to go to? Duke, Stanford, UNC, Berkeley.

Ok guys what do you like/dislike about your job. I’ll start:
Like: like a family and I get free unlimited food and drinks
Dislike: standing for anywhere between 2 and 6 hours :/

Like: The people I work with are a lot more exciting and different than the people I go to school with, from all different areas in my state and ranging from age 17 (me) to 73. I just love them so much and shared so many laughs with them!!!

Also, flexible hours, and with commission my pay is in the double digits, and I get a mean discount, and restaurants are always giving us free lunch!

Dislike: pressure to get credit apps (although that is most of my commission), standing for 6+ hours at a time, too many manager and other departmental approvals that take too long, OLD cash registers and credit card machines that are always breaking

Do you have a job? Yes
If yes where? At my school as a tech coordinator (basic computer maintenance stuff)
Age/ Grade 17, Rising Senior

Do you know what you want to major in? Business
Know what college(s) you want to go to? Long list, including Wharton, and Babson College

Edit: My job rocks. I have learned quite a few skills in network management, IT troubleshooting etc. It is like getting paid for a intermediate computers class. Not to mention it is super flexible. I basically come and go as I please, and they work around all of my summer camps etc.
