Hi, so currently, my average in high school is in the A- range(90-92). I'm aware that these grades aren't too bad, but they obviously aren't good enough for an ivy league school. I attend one of the top high schools in the country and was wondering if colleges take this into account during admissions? Even the mandatory classes in my school have much more rigorous standards than public high schools and makes it very difficult to maintain that 90 average.
Any other tips about college would be much appreciated!

If your HS has a track record for getting into competitive colleges then, yes, they consider that. Talk to your GC about what schools other students with your grades have attended.

Your school may have Naviance, a program where you can see how students with stats similar to yours have fared in the admissions process from your high school in prior year. Ask your counselor.
