<p>I’m applying to BU hoping to get either the Trustee or Presidential scholarship. I submitted my extra essay and nomination stuff for the Trustee scholarship. I was just wondering if anyone on here received either of these scholarships or know what stats people who got them had. The numbers on the BU site are pretty vague, so I figured checking in here would be more helpful than on the website.</p>

<p>It’s not released until the decisions are, right? The presidential scholarship seems to be scattered all over the place as far as stats from what I’ve seen from past year recipients which makes it all that more nervewracking waiting for decisionshaha :P</p>
<p>are those the only two merit scholarships available? they’re the only ones mentioned on the website</p>
<p>@haha778 no apparently theres a lot more but we’re ust automatically considered for them through the CSS profile submission and they’re not as big as those two so they don’t mention them all too much</p>

<p>My son is a current freshman. He had excellent gpa class standing and sat scores. He applied for the 2 scholarships as well as the first scholarship for robotics. He did not receive any of those. Instead, he was offered merit aid. A generous amount. This year is $14,000 for him. He was also given a $10,000 Luchen Fellowship for research, newly given to admitted stufents. His brother is at a different college. He is in biomedical engineering. He was deferred at Harvard and waitlisted at Tufts and Johns Hopkins. He was offered scholarship to Schreyer Honors college at Penn State.</p>
<p>Helimomter, your son at BU is receiving $24,000 a year? Did you fill out financial aid forms?</p>
