high writing scorers

I want to improve my writing, I got a 660 (63/80 and 10). What should I do?

the best advice is practice for the MC. for the essay, i worked with my english teacher, so hopefully if yours is kind, she'll help you out. mine happened to be a former SAT essay grader, so she helped immensely and helped me for free. i got an 800, 77/80 and 12.

morecowbell, Thanks!!!!

Learn what types of errors to look for (the College Board SAT book is probably a reasonable source for this information). The most common are verb-subject agreements and parallel sentence structure. Once you can identify specific errors, you can verify things that might not "sound right" with either an answer or No Error.

As far as writing essays, it's good to just practice doing some of these. If you take a very generic approach to the essay and answer the prompt with sufficient evidence, you're guaranteed at least a 4 or a 5...

your essay score is pretty high - I don't think you should worry about it too much, as long as you can do another one of comparable level... For the multiple choice, practice... I too recommend the College Board book.
