Higher Income Non-Custodial Parent

My custodial parents are in the right brackets (~$40,000 a year, both critically disabled, 7 family members), but my non-custodial parent isn't.

He has an income of about $100,000 per year. Would this ruin my chances? I do have contact with him. However, he is abusive, in contempt of court, and in arrears over child support. I understand that QB and colleges look at ability to pay, not willingness though. Are my QB and/or good financial aid chances gone?

Hello, congratulations on Princeton! I’m curious concerning how this worked out with Questbridge, because I have a similar situation and will be applying next year. Did they give you a problem for his income? Thank you!
