I'm taking AP Physics B and Precaculus right now and I'm doing fairly well in those (at my school). However, I don't think I that ready. I took a barrons practice test and missed around 40% or more I would say in the first 2/3 (didn't bother to finish cause it was too hard and I took long). I think I'll get 600-700 if I take it in june , mabye a little higher. I really want a 800 though so should I wait until october to take both Physics B and math II? Do colleges care when you take the tests or just how well you do on them? Will I have enough time to prep 1 month into school? I might be busy with my rigorous schedule. I realy want a good score though. help please =/

You can trying taking it in June and if you will not be satisfied go for it again in October.

will they see both scores? or jus the higher one?

they see both but consider the higher

bump 10 char

I was in the same position last year. I took AP Physics B class and I knew that I wouldnt be doing Physics C anymore so I decided to take the SAT IIs. I didnt want to wait until after the summer because I dont like Physics all that much and knew that I wouldnt want to review it during the summer. Err.. bad choice for me because I didnt do all that great on the test.

So for you, if you like Physics and wouldnt mind reviewing, I say wait til October. Don't rush to take it just because you think colleges care when you take the tests (I dont think it really matters). And I know people say that PreCalc is all you need for the Math II but if youre taking Calc next year maybe it will be more of an advantage? (I havent taken math ii yet so i wouldnt really know). Point is, just dont rush to take it, or just take one of them now so you can dedicate more time to studying it.

Urban Myth:

"I could take it now, but if I have more time to study, I'll do much better."

Doesn't work. Never has, never will. It's an excuse for putting off the test.

OK, 1 out of 100 times, it does work, but the other 99 never stop believing...

i dont think colleges care when you took the test, i took all my sat subjects in june before senior year and got into one of my top choices
