My score is a 1340/1600 with a 690 CR+W and 650 M. I would like to get at least a 1450 with a 700 CR+W and a 750 M. I’ve tried Khan Academy but I don’t feel its working for me as some of the problems are harder and more time consuming than what you would find on the actual test. Any advice on prep strategies, books, etc.
Also, I got a 6 on both the reading and writing on the essay but only a 2 on analysis?!?! How is this possible? Thought I did a good job.
A 2 on the analysis indicates that you are only identifying rhetorical elements, but you are not explaining fully how these elements enhance the persuasiveness of the article. The Analysis aspect of the rubric also targets your choice of rhetorical elements.
It isn’t enough to say that the author uses “logos in the form of statistics.” You also need to explain why those stats were chosen and how they enhance the argument. Additionally, if the statistics are not the most important elements used by the author, then it can affect your score.
