Essay Help before Sat. SAT

Alright....I'll be taking the SAT's on saturday and I'm hoping for a 2300+. I think I'm ready for almost all the sections, but my preparation for the essay has been relatively low...actually almost nonexistent. However, I've heard that the MC in Writing is weighted a lot more heavily, and it isn't difficult to score at least a 9 or a 10, so I'm aiming for the 9-12 range. Since I plan on skipping school tomorrow, it'd be great if you guys could answer a few questions for me so I can "cram" for the essay (basically do a bunch of practices).

Is it preferable to have 3 body paragraphs, or is 2 sufficient for a score of 10-12?

How much weight does the essay actually hold? Let's say worst case scenario I get an 8. How low would that drop me if I got maybe 2 MC wrong?

What sort of examples should I be using in my support? Are personal, literary, and historical all fine as long as they're strong examples?

Thanks a lot for your help.

I am also taking the SAT on Sat, and I'll tell you what I've learned from reading various posts.

3 paragraphs are preferable, but 2 is certainly fine and if they are well written a 9-12 should be easy. If you have two good examples, you can add in a personal experience to get it to three, but if not don't sweat it.

I've read that on January's SAT one multiple choice wrong and an 8 on the essay was still a 760.

Yes examples can be from history, literature, or personal experience. What I did to prepare was make a list of all the books I've read in the past two years that I am familiar with. I memorized their Names, Authors, and Protagonists so that I can cite them in my essay. I've been told you can even make up personal experiences to some extent to prove a point.

Good Luck!
