I did better than expected (5). Does anyone else feel this way? I guess maybe I wrote a killer DBQ or something… I don’t know. My FRQ were pretty bad

I don’t think the curve was particularly generous. I expected a 5, and received a 5. My friends who took the course also got the score they approximated. Maybe you just underestimated?

I don’t really think I underestimated. In the 2 practice multiple choice sections I took by CB I received the bare minimum for a 5, and those tests contained stuff that was word for word on crash course (Crash course is after all, a compilation of knowledge from previous tests so it was a huge advantage). Crash Course of course didn’t really cover the stuff on the 2010 as well as it does on previous tests, and I definitely felt the difference.

On the FRQ where it said “compare and contrast” I didn’t read “contrast” so I just compared the similarities, not the differences. In the conclusion I realized this, and I juts wrote the differences in the conclusion paragraph :D

The other FRQ was on the art vs. power (which really is a horrible essay) and I only had a single good example (Versailles).

I was expecting a 3/4 and got a 5, so ya.

Nope, I was expecting a 5 and got a 5. Though, I guess this thread applies to people expecting less than a 5.

I expected a 4/5 (more likely a 4) but got a 5. I definitely felt Crash Course didn’t cover the MC or FRQ’s (especially the FRQ’s) as well as the 1999 exam or the Audit exam. But, I spent extra time on the DBQ (and put in a bunch of outside info from the History Day paper I wrote in 8th grade about the Treaty of Versailles and how it was a failed compromise blah blah blah) and I guess it was good enough.

With all the time I spent studying, I knew I deserved a 5 just for the effort, but I didn’t think I was actually going to get it after finishing the test. Guess I was wrong :).

i expected a 4/5 got a 3

I expected a 5, for I did well on the MC and the DBQ.

After completely getting 2 facts incorrect on the FRQ, I thought I’d get a 4, but the worst case scenarios I calculated with AP Pass calculator said 5. I was 50/50 on what I’d get but I got a 5.

expected a 1 but got a 5…i prayed to jesus and he answered

When do they mail the scores cause I don’t feel like calling them…

^***? Don’t revive a dead thread with an irrelevant post.

Dude, me too. My teacher didn’t teach us anything during the year, so I basically crammed the entire Princeton Review into my brain three days before and I got a 4. Hey, I’m not objecting haha. A lot of my friends who studied like the day before got 3s, and they were positive they failed. And in my FRQs I think I stated the wrong king like twice lol and I just BSed my way through them. I guess the curve just sucked?

Expected 5, got 5.

Expecting a 5, and expecting a confirmation letter to come any day now :).

I don’t think Crash Course helped me significantly. 95% of the stuff in the Crash Course book I already knew lol :p.

I still recommend Crash Course to others since I’m a history freak and I wouldn’t expect others to read a dozen books in prep for the AP Euro test.

Last year I expected a 2/3 and got a 4 (2 of 3 essays were horrible), so I’m happy :D

I was pretty confident of getting a 5, but ended up getting a 4 I’m not really angry, only confused because in class, I consistently got grades that were consistent with 5 on tests (composed solely of actual past AP questions). On my midterm, which was exactly the same format as the AP, I ended up skipping 5 questions because of time issues and still scored a solid 5 (my teacher converted the points to an AP scale).

I thought the exam this year was pretty average, a few hard Q’s here and there but overall not bad. The DBQ was a joke and the first thematic was straightforward. The second thematic was trickier and I didn’t have as many details to put down, but I still expected at least a 6 on that one. I just don’t know where this 4 came from If I thought I deserved a 4, I wouldn’t be complaining, but I honestly thought I would get a 5. sigh I think I’ll get a rescore in case there was a mistake.
