Real quick question - I heard that a lot of colleges just look at the highest combination of your CR, writing, and math sections from all the times you've taken the SAT. I'm considering applying to several ivy league schools - are there any that you know DON'T look at SAT scores in this way? Which ones?

Ivies and many private schools "supercore," meaning take your highest subscores from multiple tests to get SAT score they consider for admission. Majority of public universities consider only that test with the highest composite score.

Note, if you are currently a junior and will be applying for fall 2010, the above may no longer hold true. The College Board, which controls the SAT, currently sends all SAT scores it has for an applicant whenever the applicant requests any to be sent to a college. Beginning with class of 2010, it will allow students to choose which scores to actually send to colleges. Whether colleges will continue superscoring after that change is currently unknown.
