Highschool Senior wanting to major Accounting

Hi,

I would like to major in Accounting when i enter university this fall.

Right now, it is spring break and i have basically nothing to do except start studying on a couple of APs. I want to prepare myself for university in the next few months. So, i thought of studying accounting at the MIT Open Courseware. Just to experience what accounting feels like. However, it does not have complete sets of notes.

Do you guys know any resources that are useful in studying basic accounting?

I don’t know about basic accounting, but here is what you can expect when you start working in public accounting:

[Public Accounting - The New Hire Staff Accountant - YouTube](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

Yes, you can google some professors’ slides/word documents/papers on the internet…

A confession of an accountant before he leaves an accounting firm lol

[I</a> Quit Public Accounting! - YouTube](<a href=“I Quit Public Accounting! - YouTube”>I Quit Public Accounting! - YouTube)

I’ve experienced everything mentioned in this video:

[Tax Season is back - YouTube](<a href=“Tax Season is back - YouTube”>Tax Season is back - YouTube)

In retrospect, it’s pretty damn funny. The stuff you have to put up with in public accounting is ridiculous.
