<p>Does anyone know if there will be a jump in the number of applications to Rice this year? In the past it wasn't a popular choice where I'm from (though I visited and I LOVE it.) Just wondering since I'm applying this year, and it just returned as #17 on US News & World Report.</p>
<p>They were number 17 last year, too, so I wouldn’t expect a huge jump. If anything, their great financial aid could draw some extra applicants.</p>

It is also generally #1 in Value for Undergraduate education in those rankings that do that.</p>
