Please who knows about these dorms? I'm an international student and I feel HILC will have a community of people who share the same experiences with me though I'm not sure it'll be better staying at the residential dorms. My uncle who graduated from Cornell adviced me to take HILC because he had fun and had people who he could share situations with and all. However, I'm a little concerned I might not be interested in themes and maybe just a simple normal dorm. Does anyone know anything on this? And Risley seems fun because I have interests in art, so anything on Risley would be nice as well, however I'm leaning towards HILC.

I’m not sure what you mean by better than staying at the residential dorms. HILC and Risley are both north campus residential dorms. They just have a specific focus. I don’t know anything about HILC (someone will, I’m sure), but there have been other threads (search) where I wrote about Risley. My freshman math major son loves it. Very diverse and quirky crowd. Can’t say much more right now (sorry, having trouble typing since I got stitches out yesterday).

Thanks. I meant if HILC will give a better experience for int’l students in comparison to the residential dorms as they have a more similar group around.
