can anyone who has taken this course tell me a little about it? does it require a lot of reading? i have never been great at history and i am a very slow reader, but i signed up for this course to sort of face my weakness...but i'm wondering if that was a mistake now haha

I don't know now that Litwack is gone. The course is usually a good mix of reading (several books; definitely as much reading as an english class but to me more interesting), writing, and lectures (listening). You can always take it and then P/NP it if you're not doing well by the middle of the sem.

approx. how many pages of reading a night would you say?

bump
anyone?

Didnt like it with Litwack, but then again, I'm not a hippie. Dont know how itll be now that he's gone.

7b was amazing with litwack, hopefullyhaas slept through most lectures, it's too bad you missed him. there was a large amount of reading, although you didn't need to know it verbatim.

but again, the world famous litwack is gon, so it'll be way different.

It is undoubtedly still very interesting, but not as eye-opening as with Litwack. I believe there is an audiocast of a female lecturer on the webcast website, a few years back- I'm betting that's what 7B will be like from now on.
