I was just admitted to Berkeley and I'm majoring in history. Are there any tips for what classes to take for my undergraduate requirements? Any tips on what teachers to choose/avoid? What do you find difficult about majoring in history?

Can’t recommend any classes, but I will congratulate you on being Berkeley for history, especially if you choose to stay for grad school. They are rater in the top 5 for history. What field of history are you most interested in?

Are you a history major? I’m not sure what field to choose from yet! How does it work when choosing a field of interest?

A very helpful tool when choosing classes at Berkeley is Ninjacourses: http://ninjacourses.com/. It is a great way to plan classes, visualize your class schedule, and look through reviews of past classes/professors. For the L&S Seven Breadth requirement classes there are many interesting and intriguing options. Another helpful tool is Berkeleytime: Berkeleytime; (lists the various options for Breadth classes and their average grades).

thank you for the resources! they are very helpful!
