They only offer 4-year programs from this onwards. I am expecting to get about one year of credit, so i suppose I would be able to finish in 3 years. Am not sure though.

I am sooo excited!

EC’s :

You have very good CBSE (Im assuming) scores.

I think youll get into HKU.

I am also still waiting for hKU to release engineering results. I dont know why they are taking so long

@Jackrabbit420, introvert16, chemplex,

Did you guys get interview calls from HKU?

hey SAT456, nope, no interview call from them. did you?

@SAT456, anyway, there’s a fb group for intl HKU and UST applicants, https://www.facebook.com/groups/331320486978985/ , more actions there. you can join it if you havent do so

Neither I, nor anyone from my school who has applied for Engineering has received an interview call from HKU.

That said, both early admission applicants to engineering got interview calls and were subsequently admitted.

@Chemplex, I sent a request weeks ago. No response. I have stopped caring now

@jackrabbit420 , looks like we’re in the same boat, I’ve got my full A-level results. I’ve sent UST question bout application outcome like weeks ago too, but did not get any reply from them. Meanwhile waiting for replies from US, and S’pore

I dont know about you but since I applied with predicted grades, Singapore will give me their decision in July.

I am waiting for universities in the US and Canada to give me their decisions. I also applied to LSE, Warwick, UCL, Edinburgh, Glasgow in the UK and have been accepted by Warwick and Glasgow. waiting to hear from the rest but as the situation is right now, I expect myself to be in Warwick this time next year.

@chemplex,

No, I have not yet received an interview call from HKU and this is the only thing that is worrying me. Hope, we get our decisions soon!!

Hey guys I got 35 out of 45 for IB diploma and I would be retaking for few subjects this cmg may to better my chance to get in. 38 is the maximum score I could possibly get. I’ve applied for all BBA courses in HKU, HKUST and CUHK. What are the chances for me to get in?

mingmingforwin…they will probably give you a conditional

International applicant, SAT 2220, received conditional offer on HS diploma and full tuition scholarshippy-yay-yay

@applejacked

hey applejacked do you mind sharing ur other stats/ECs?
Plus which major did u apply and which school gave u an offer?

Hey guys I applied at HKU/ST, did not receive any offer as of yet… Please rate my chances
Grade 10- 10.0/10.0 CGPA (CBSE)
AS level- AAAAB (A highest)
A Level (Pred)- AAA*
SAT Sub- Math LII 800, Physics 790, Chem 770
SAT- 2060 (Kinda low… worried this will let me down)
AP- Physics C Mech-5, Chem-4
TOEFL- 111
Some ECs including volunteer serv.
I applied for engineering and science

Applied to HKUST, School of Science.
Stats I can think of from the top of my head…GPA 3.84, took 3 SATIIs (800M2C, 760BioM, 780USH) 3 AP tests (5,5,4 on USH, Bio and APLang) ECs are varied and weird, a few have to do with my career interests so I guess that was a plus. Not a ton though. Community service hours that I put in are fairly standard? TOEFL score was 116

For a slightly more detailed description check out my other posts.

Hello everyone !
Fellow offer holder from HKU + CU (declined the offer though) and to UCL, LSE, Leeds, Notts, Southampton. If others are on the same boat as I am and opting to go to HK/UK for undergrad I’d love to hear your thoughts…

@hongkonggirl

I have offers from UCL and HKU. I’m waiting on my girlfriend to see where we end up going. I would instantly take UCL in a heartbeat, but if she can’t make it to the UK, then I’d happily join her in Hong Kong. I think you should go to LSE if you have the money(i.e. your family is middle-class).
