<p>Hello, I just joined college confidential today and sorry if I post in the wrong place or smthng. But I want to ask 2 things:</p>

<li>I applied to 2 universities only, HKUST and HKU and the university I really want is HKU. I'm taking A-levels and I applied to both universities at December. Today is supposed to be the last day of the result for early applicants and this is what I received:</li>
</ol>
<p>Thank you for applying to our University. As an Early Decision Applicant, the university has reviewed your application and we wish to give you an update on the progress. Although your qualifications are outstanding, the competition for admission is keen this year, and the university is unable to reach a decision at this point in time.</p>
<p>We wish to continue reviewing your application. We anticipate that your final application result will be available between April to June. Please understand that your application is still under full consideration for admission, and we hope to inform you by email of your application result as soon as we can.</p>
<p>What does this mean? Does this reduce my chances of entering? I apply using A levels. My As scores: Business studies: 97 (A), Accounting: 92 (A), Mathematics: 89 (A), and Economics: 85 (A). I will take my A-levels this May-June. </p>

<li>Due to that I want to apply to other good finance universities. Any suggestions on where I can apply to?</li>
