So today I received an email from the Bowdoin admissions office re-congratulating me on my admission and inviting me to an open house. The only thing is, I haven’t received a letter yet!

This could be senior-year anxiety, but I want to avoid a potentially very awkward situation. Is there a good chance they accidentally sent the email?

haha. i think its a far safer assumption to say that the postal service misplaced your acceptance letter and Bowdoin thinks that you already know you're in then it is to say that the post office misplaced your rejection letter and Bowdoin also made a mistake and sent you a letter congratulating you on your acceptance.

you're in man. congrats!
if its really bugging you you could prob call the admissions office and they'll tell you if you're in or not (but you are so no worries!)
