Hi. I am going to be a senior this year and I live on Long Island. I do not want to go away for college, and I am between these two colleges. I want to major in mathematics and finance (and maybe minor in computer science). My SAT score is a 1530 (out of 1600) and my weighted GPA is a 4.5. I am going to be a national merit semifinalist in the fall most likely (I have a score of 225 on the PSAT). I have taken 7 AP exams so far (and received 4s and 5s on all of them) and I am going to take 5-6 more this year. Should I go to Macaulay Honors (Queens or Baruch) or Hofstra Honors College? I would get full tuition to both of the schools. Hofstra is closer to where I live and it is cheaper to commute there. Plus, it is a private school, while Macaulay Honors is part of the CUNY system and it is public. Thank you for your help!

decided on hofstra honors on full scholarship

Thank for the update. How did you choose? If I’d placed a bet, I’d have wagered Macaulay! Interested in knowing your rationale :)
