Hey, I'm going to be a sophomore this year. This summer, I took Spanish 2 in a community college. I've only taken Spanish 1 in high school so far, so my goal was to advance to Spanish 3 honors after passing this course. Well, the class was hard. No one got an A in the class, while there were about 5 native speakers. It was especially challenging for me. Well, I got a C. C is an enough grade to allow me to transition to Spanish 3 honors with the requirement of the transitional test my high school offers. But my dilemma is,, Should I drop this class? I would think it would look bad in the admissions. How bad would it look for me in colleges like : UC Irvine/UCLA/Harvard. And what if i take other classes in the community college to show my improvement?

Your post isn't very clear. Did you get a C in the community college class or in the freshman year Spanish 1 class? If you got the C in the community college class...leave it off of your college application. If you got it in 9th grade Spanish, you are in trouble at Harvard--you need to get straight As in everything else to make up for that mess-up. I think your problem is that you're trying to move too far ahead of yourself. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Don't be overly concerned with getting into advanced classes if you can't handle them. Stick to Spanish 2. Do what you like when it comes to more community college classes, but whatever you do, don't advertise that C and definitely don't get any more.
