This is the worst thing that could happen to me. I thought since today was reading day, I could spend this time studying and doing the paper as well. I didn't check my e-mail yesterday so I couldn't have known that the 5 page paper was due today. I have 2 pages done but there's no way I can finish it in time. I have to come up quotes, and get one outside source. I thought it was due on the 16th, the day of the final.

What I want to know from you guys is, do you possibly think my professor will accept my paper through e-mail later today? Even though a worksheet says "NO LATE PAPERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!"

She seems like an understanding and nice person, and I got As on basically every other assignment she gave. DO YOU THINK I AM TOTALLY SCREWED?

This is the third paper she gave and I got As on the last 2. Can she still fail me. I was so close to freaking A I can’t believe one mistake is going to take that away. **** ME

Your only option now is to finish the darn paper and email it ASAP. If the professor didn’t specify a time along with the date, there may be a chance that papers will be accepted up until midnight.

Now, get off of CC, focus, finish the paper, and email it.

Take your time and finish the paper, then the following morning jump into a chaotic busy traffic and use it as an excuse for your paper, good luck

My best advice is email the professor explaining exactly what happened. Then turn in whatever you can on time and ask if you can have an extension to do a better job.

I’ve pulled off 2 (5) page papers in a day. Just go ahead and keep working on it. And in the future always check your email or set it up to where you have mobile updates when you get an email.

I just sent the paper at 8:38 PM. and it said: “I apologize for the late paper I made a mistake”

Right after I sent it I realized I forgot to add in mylast name along with the page number, ****. Well atleast I sent on the day it was due. Hopefully my other As will balance this whole thing out. Damn my luck to hell.

I made a really silly mistake on one of my papers, too. There are three papers for the course, and for the first two the professor made it a point of saying that if you do not include information from ALL of the course readings you won’t get even a C, and she didn’t put it on the last assignment sheet and I forgot all about it and didn’t use any of the course readings and only used quotes from lecture and the book the paper was supposed to be about, so she might fail me on the assignment. But I got two other A’s so I am just hoping for the best. It happens I guess.

Try to relax, I’m sure it’s not gonna be as bad as all that, you were only off by 3 and a half hours, lots of people don’t always turn their papers in until the next day. If she takes off points it won’t be much, you fessed up to messing up and still finished the paper promptly.

But like everybody else said, try to remember the due dates, lest you ever miss something a bit less…salvagable than an essay

Dude…did she just send an email yesterday about the paper being due. Because IF she did then you do have a legitimate reason for it being late, unless the date was already set ahead of time and she was just reiterating it.

Well she replied a couple minutes later, saying “it’s no problem”. One minute later she sends me a message to resend as she can’t read whatever file Yahoo made my essay into. So I see these e-mails at around 11:40, and I scrambled to send her a copy & paste of my paper into Hotmail, as Yahoo mail sucks, and can’t send long e-mails. I just hope she forgives my indecisiveness. I really need to check my e-mail more, and switch from Yahoo…

No it’s my fault, I probably didn’t hear her say the due date, I also woke up late one time, and couldn’t make a class. I just assumed it was due on the 16th.
