Has anyone used the "Home Ride" bus to the Vienna Metro station?
A VTech parent had said it worked well for their child. Do they show a movie, is it crowded, etc? Thinking that this would be a good option for DS if I can't (or don't feel like) playing taxi (we're being good and honoring the no car rule for first year much to my DS' dismay)
Thanks

I have no experience with home ride b/c I go to WM, but I would bet that there would be people willing to give your kid a ride. One of the advantages of being from northern va and going to va schools is that a very large percentage of the school is from northern va, so there's lots of people heading that way on breaks. Older students from the same high school are probably a good bet, and another good bet is there is probably some kind of service at UVA where people post where they are going and how much space they have in their car. A seat will probably cost you nothing more than some gas money.

No movie, bus is generally packed. It's not really bad, but it's definetely not the best way to travel.

D has used it several times. It has worked well. Nothing fancy, but an efficient way to get to N. Va--Dulles, etc.
