Home schooled ’05 grad with perfect SAT?

I just want to say "Good Luck!"

Thanks! :-)

You have a great background and should expect to get into all 3 schools. Bard, Wesleyan and Vassar are also interesting choices. All "close to NYC" but certainly not "in NYC". My S applied EA to Bard and was accepted and has an RD app pending at Wesleyan. He just didn't have a good feel for Vassar but has friends there and going in the fall. His interests (theatre, film, writing) are very similar to yours. No 4-H though! He takes care of our Yorkshire Terrier sometimes.

You're in, plain and simple.

Definitely in at all of these schools. That is not the question. The question is, how much scholarship money can you get. The people who apply for the prestigious scholarships, even at these schools, are, for the most part, very intellectually driven and simply want a good buy for their education.

I am a Park Scholar at Ithaca College. Was it where I envisioned myself when I was in high school? No. But, after being accepted to all but one of the schools I applied to (including USC, Syracuse, BU, American, Pepperdine), and receiving the scholarship at IC, I realized that it really was an awesome opportunity. Now, I have money in the bank for grad school, rent in a big city, or whatever else comes my way! Not only that, but when you are in elite company at a school...there are plenty of contacts.

TheatreChic, definitely don't be discouraged by all the negative contacts. Can you get into "better" schools? Yes. But it depends on what you think the "better" situation really is for you. And if you have figured out that those three schools fit you best, then you go girl!

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!***
