<p>Hello, does anyone have an idea of the amount of homework you get at a typical prep school? I'm going to Hopkins next year and have quite an adjustment to make.
Also, are there any study habits I could get used to for such an adjustment?</p>

<p>Time management is the key factor. Pick up a book or pick up the controller. They already know you can do the work, it will be a question of just applying your self. The school work loads vary in the beginning but it builds up and as long as you maintain good study habits and don’t get behind then you’ll never really notice the increase in work. Hopkins is a fantastic school, congratulations and enjoy the journey. Don’t want you to think you’re alone on CC.</p>
<p>I agree with ops. TIME MANAGEMENT will make the biggest difference. I started as a sophomore so everything was piled on from day one. Coming in as a freshman will probably be different, but the change will still be suffient. </p>
<p>Expect at least 40 minutes of homework from each class, not including study time. I wish someone had told me that. It isn’t an exageration. But it does work. You find time to get it done, everyone does. Some faster than others. Everyone does figure it out though, a way that works for them.</p>

<p>One thing i do suggest is to take that little extra bit of time to go beyond in the classroom on the weekend. 15 minutes would be great on saturday and sunday. This seems like a little, but it will make a HUGE impact for your grades and impressions on your teachers. </p>
