Honors adviser at preview?

I'm going to preview on july 14th and 15th and I was wondering whether or not we get to see an honors adviser on the second day when we're doing scheduling. If not, does anyone know if I'd be able to speak to an honors adviser on the first day? Because I want to take CHM2047 but on the course description it says you need permission from the chemistry department or the honors department, so I would need to get that before I sign up for it (at least that's how I understand it.)

Yes, you do get to see an Honors adviser. Honors students are in their own Preview group, and instead of going where the rest of the groups go on the second day, they go to Hume. A few Honors advisers take students in individually and help them set up a schedule.

As far as permission to take CHM2047, talking to the adviser will really help. My Honors adviser was very understanding in creating my schedule and if you believe you are ready for it, it won’t be a problem.

Even with a 5 on your AP Chem, they still call over to the dept. for approval.

so they call while i’m there? cause basically I just wanted to know if I needed to contact them before preview

IN 07, my son told him that he wanted to take 2047 he was told that they had to confirm his 5 then they called over to the chem dept. It all happen when he was at preview. Son thought that they (chem) loaded him or there was code to unlock the slot.

I’ll will warn you this class is very fast. Son had Chem in his Jr year. Realized it was too fast for him and went down to 2045 got a A. 2046 the next semster B+ and A in both labs.

He got a letter from UF asking why he was retaking a class he already had credit in, but he wanted the review. It is a foundation in his major.
