I was wondering, in high school, does it matter if you take say an "easy" Language Arts class versus a "rigorous" one if you are going to major in the science field?

In other words, does it matter if you take an easy class in the subject your NOT majoring in, or do colleges like to see Honors/AP in all classes?

Thank you for your time.

It depends on the school…if you applying to Ivies/Top 50, I would suggest taking the most rigorous courseload available. Just because you are majoring in science does not mean that you don’t need to know how to write/analzye. It makes you a more well-rounded student. However, if you are not applying to a very selective college, you may be able to get away with not taking an honors/AP English class here and there.
Just beware…colleges in general like to see you have taken the most rigorous courseload available. I am glad you are looking into this as a sophomore instead of a junior or senior. :)
