Was looking at the applications of some of my reach schools today (think in the Vanderbilt/Middlebury range) and saw that a lot of them wanted a list of academic honors/awards, or just any honors/awards in general. I know it's not required, and probably doesn't matter much, but I'd still like to fill those blanks with some nice solid awards if possible. Unfortunately, I'm a homeschooled rising senior which puts me out of the running for some national awards (either because it's too late, or because I'm homeschooled). Does anyone here have any suggestions for awards/honors that I could apply for? What did you list as your honors/awards?

There are plenty you can apply to, but very few would you hear back from in time. Visit [Fastweb : Scholarships, Financial Aid, Student Loans and Colleges](http://www.fastweb.com), it will suggest awards that you can apply for (pick ones that have deadlines in the near future that you can hear back from in time to list on your application.

Personally I will be listing the following awards when I apply to colleges
- Ida Wagner Fellowship Award (local award) - 9th grade
- Scholastic Art and Writing Awards - Gold key - 10th grade
- Scholastic Art and Writing Awards - Gold key, silver key - 11th grade
- Carson Scholar - 11th grade
- QuestBridge College Prep Scholar - 11th grade
- Fein Fellow - 11th grade
- Friedberg Family Media Award (local award) - 1st place - 11th grade

I may also list some of the art shows I have been in (which are often hard to get into/juried), but I am undecided regarding that…

I completely forgot about my scholastic art and writing awards gold key. So glad you had that listed.
