Hi! @colormagix and @uscitizenindia - Congratulations! When were you accepted? Do you mind sharing your stats? Just curious as to how it works. Status change on portal, then a letter and then an email?
Same here for my daughter. Praying for that Scholarship and proud of getting into honors today.
My D received her Honors acceptance in an e-mail very late last night.

This OSU page describes the difference between Honors and Scholars. They are mutually exclusive.
My son got accepted in the first wave before thanksgiving. He is OOS US Citizen living in India now. 1380 SAT. Equivalent US GPA would be 4.0
Finally heard good news about Honors program and now hope to hear good news about scholarships.
@MommyCoqui They are not mutually exclusive. A student can start in scholars then join honors in their spring semester.
Also, I went on a visit today and they said some scholars acceptances would be mailed out tonight. Fingers crossed.
@MaizeScream My S was their today also and received Scholars email last night.
Just got into green engineering scholars!
I know this has probably been answered already - sorry. To those who have heard abt honors/scholars, did u receive email notifications to ur personal email or ur buckeye email address? Checking both, but thought I wd ask. Thanks. (Son received acceptance on 12/15 and got scholarship info early January but no notification abt honors yet.)
I got into Health Scholars last night. The email was my personal email @osumom28
@asmalls I got in on the very last wave (1/26) . I applied to animal science major and my stats were 32 act (34 superscore) and 3.95 weighted GPA. I found out through email. Hope this info helps!
I’m hearing conflicting answers as to whether Honors students MUST live in the three honors dorms next Fall. I know the Honors and Scholars site says they must, but I know people who have called OSU housing and been told honors students do NOT HAVE TO be in honors dorms.
Has anyone here called or emailed OSU housing or Honors and Scholars to get the real scoop? If so, which office did you contact and what were you told? Thank you.
@Meant2B emailed Honors & Scholars and they said that it is mandatory to live in an honors dorm or learning community. Very frustrating that they changed the requirement this year. Still waiting on a response from University Housing.
@apk430 that’s what the Honors email said. Frustrated here as well, it’s actually becoming a factor in the decision process. Do share when you speak to housing. Thanks!
@Meant2B got the same response from housing. Looks like it’s either honors with honors dorms or no honors with regular dorms
How bad are the honors dorms? I know they are not the newest ones, but if no one wants to live there and now the university says that it is required, it makes them sound not too desirable. There seems to be good feedback about the LCs. Do the honors dorms build the same sort of community as the LCs and Scholars dorms?
Thanks @apk430 Very limiting. Clearly being in Honors has wonderful perks, and getting invited is an honor. Makes no sense to require certain dorms though, especially if the dorms are sub par. Students want to pursue honors programs but still engage in the OSU community at large, so letting them choose dorms like any other student, if they wish to do so, should be an option.
Are there many people who haven’t received Honors decisions yet? I know it’s technically still early, but I’m starting to get worried lol.
We still have not. Son was accepted in 12/16 wave. Received scholarship info early January. But still no Honors notice. Son has a friend who received a letter in early January indicating he did not get in. So it seems you are notified either way.
