Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the bother, but I’m extremely confused about whether I’ve actually been admitted into the honors college or simply offered the chance to take classes at Pitt. When I got my acceptance letter, I had an attachment stating " In addition, based on your outstanding academic record, I would like to encourage you to consider the opportunities available to you in the University Honors College", but it never explicitly stated that I was admitted. Any help will do. Thanks so much!
Hi collegeseeker,
The Honors College at UPitt is not membership-based. What you quoted from the letter just means that you are automatically eligible to take Honors courses due to your stats.
@mandomeLife is correct, the letter was informing you that you are eligible to take honors courses. I encourage you to check out honorscollege.pitt.edu to learn more.
Best,
A Pitt Admissions Staffer
