<p>Is anyone going to the honors college day thing? My parents want me to go to check out Hume and stuff.</p>
<p>I already visited the honors college so I won't be going again, but it is worth it to go and see everything for yourself. I've heard UF's food is subpar, but when I went it was pretty good. Goes to show that you have to see it for yourself!</p>
<p>i am in and going as well as a few others from my school. what is this honors day? sounds like a solid excuse to skip school.</p>
<p>erhswimming: I'm just a parent, but I've been really impressed with the quality and variety of food at Broward Dining the 8 or 10 times we've eaten there. Our first experience was at Preview, and several people told us that dining services made the food extra-good during Preview only to impress the parents. But we've been back several times since then, and it's always good. They have a small salad bar, a pizza+pasta bar, Asian bar (I think), Hispanic bar, Deli sandwich counter, and two entrees at the American?? bar. (I mean the ham, meatloaf, turkey, etc. entrees -- nondescript entrees.)</p>
<p>My son is a freshman, and sometimes he walks over to Gator Corner Dining, because they have hamburgers and some other different entrees that Broward doesn't have. Your ID card will work at either of the dining halls if you've signed up for a meal plan. </p>
<p>I know some people will disagree with me. When you go to Preview, take a look at the whole buffet at Broward Dining, and look at the selections. The quality of the food did not go way down after Preview, as some people said it would. Hopes this helps, and good luck to you.

<p>Gator Dining has its ups and downs. Most of the time the food is fine, but sometimes it's like "what the hell are you feeding me!!?" :)</p>
<p>g8trmom: I did say the food was good. I went and ate at Gator Corner last month, and found the food to be worth buying a meal plan for. I haven't tried Broward, so thanks for the tip there!</p>

<p>I guess I forgot to apply for Honors. Seems pretty stupid that you have a deadline for each decision instead of one deadline.. If I don't necessarily plan on attending UF it's kinda a waste of effort for me to have been in a rush to apply for Honors and whatever. Congrats to those who were accepted, and for the record Hume is incredibly overrated.</p>
