I was accepted into the Honors College. Based on past experiences, does anyone know if being accepted into the Honors college increases the likelihood of receiving a scholarship from Maryland?

Students selected to interview for the prestigious Banneker/Key (full ride) scholarship must be accepted to the Honors College. If you are selected, you will be notified in a couple of weeks. Good luck.

In addition, merit aid (other than B/K) are very heavily based on GPA and SAT scores…it’s intended to help bring in the best students. So, IMHO being in either Honors or Scholars greatly increases your chances for merit aid, just because of those factors that helped you get there.
