Honors college

What are the perks of being in the honors college. Do you get special housing or just get to choose your classes before everyone else? Thanks

i asked a HHC student wen i visited, prety much like everybody else except you can take Honors courses and eventually get a general honors notation on you're diploma + you CAN apply for a honors residence hall which houses honors students who applied for it. other than tat, nothing special, just a nice thing to put on you're resume. Honors college on resume = tats right mr. recruiter, im smart you bastard, you beter hire me.

You can live in Honors Housing if you want to. I don't know about choosing classes ahead of everyone else, but I know that you have the option to take Honors classes if you want. You can graduate with honors if you write a thesis.

Thanks sounds like it might be worth it. Does anyone know anything about the LAMP program other than what was on the website? thanks again

heh yea the lamp program is interesting, i looked that up too. isnt that like a combination between psychology and business stuff? i ono much about it though

From what I understand it is a business school and liberal arts stuff.

What are the requirements for Honors?

1350 in top 20% of class or above 25 on act and top 5% of class. But the website makes it seem that if you are close and you are motivated that you can get in if dont already qualify.

Well, I dont have a 1350, but I am in top 20%. I have over a 25, but Im only in top 7%. But I think my rank will change at the end of school year.
