Does anyone know how many sophomores lives in the Honors Dorm? If so what floors do the upperclassman usually live on? S decided to stay in the dorm another year but everyone on his floor now is moving out of the Honors Dorm. Does anyone know if it’s possible to change to the Horseshoe possibly if someone needs a random roommate or if someone backs out of the Horseshoe housing? Concerned that he will be all alone in Dorm next year.
My D is also staying in the honors dorm (6th floor) and will be doing random roommate. She said she’s heard of several who are staying there, including her current roommate … they get along fine - just her roommate wanted to room with one of her friends next year… so if there are any honors dorm girls (she’ll be a sophomore next year) who are looking for a roommate, so is she
I think a good number of honors students stay there. Occupancy is 537. At around 400 freshmen, that leaves around 130 spaces taken by upperclassmen - mostly sophomores. My D was on Shoe as sophomore and went over to Honors Residence almost daily to hang with her friends who stayed there a second year. A bunch of the guys all picked rooms on one end of a hall so that the hangout space was almost an extension of their room. If you do want to consider Horseshoe, last year after Horseshoe sign up there were a few odd room left (study abroad, etc) and they actually sent out email to see if others interested. I’m sure you can call and check.
