Honors Geometry Help!!!

Hi everyone! This is my first thread so apologize if I put this in the wrong forum or anything!

Since the beginning of the school year (September 1st), I’ve been struggling with bad grades in Honors Geometry. I completely understand the material, but I just get horrible grades (I’m talking D’s) on the quizzes. I did talk to my teacher about it and he suggested that I meet with him after school sometime this next week to get some help, but I don’t understand what I need help for if I know what I’m doing. It’s really the problem of forgetting everything right when I take the test, second guessing myself (especially on T/F questions), and making dumb mistakes like addition errors (which is the main reason why I messed up so much last quiz).
I don’t know if this really matters, but I did get all A’s last year (1 A-, 3 A’s) when I took Honors Algebra in 8th grade. I’m an average/good student overall (3.95 GPA last year) and am taking 2 other honors classes. I studied around 2-3 hours for this last quiz.
What can I do to improve my grade?

Use Quizlet for vocabulary and Khan Academy for skills practice. If your teacher allows the use of calculators on tests and quizzes, read the manual. I know all TI-84s come with one, so spend some time with it now, before you start getting into more advanced material. Also, and please use caution with this, try to double check your addition, but not anything else. On one of my more recent tests, I missed 3 questions BECAUSE I checked them (they were originally correct).

I’m in the process of making a Quizlet set for the first part of my Honors Geometry class. I’ll message you with the link if you want.

Best of luck!

I actually have been using both and another program called SW Advantage but the problem is, is that they both teach different methods than my teacher so I’ll also get points off on the quizzes for that.

Talk to your teacher and say, “Can you review this program and see if the method it teaches is acceptable? It works better for me, and I understand it this way.” Your teacher should take the time to do so, because it is his/her responsibility to make sure you succeed.

My geometry teacher told me to use this website called ixl it can help with practice problems.

@Soccerchic24 @hannau5 NUUUUUUU NOT IXL, NEVER IXL! IXL is evil. It is super frustrating.

Its kind of childish to me, but it works

what material in general do you need help with? I am a previous geometry student however I skipped it over the summer So if you need any help in any particular area you can ask me
