Honors Housing Advice

alright so I’m probably going to go to OSU next year, and im probably going to live in the honors dorms (anyone with me?), and i was hoping that someone would have some advice as to where. I was kinda looking for somewhere that wasnt too nerdy but partied, so i guess in the middle. not too nerdy, not too heavy on the party (not too complaints about noise), anyone?

Sounds like "Goldilocks and the three bears". Not too nerdy, not too partied, just right.

I'm visiting in 3 weeks so I'll update. My guess is that it would be difficult to determine because the personality of the dorm depends on who lives there and that changes year to year.

I will probably go there next year too and I'm in the same kind of problem. I want those exact same things. I'm going there over my school's spring break to check it out. I'll also post when I visit.

yeah i heard that lincoln towers were pretty much the in-between type dorm but i'd have to like live with 3 other people (not that thats a really big deal, it might actually be a good experience). just seeing if there were any others like that.

I'm planning to live in Lincoln for the same reason. I need a nice, happy medium. When I study I need something else going on simultaneously... Lincoln seems ideal. Are you male or female, swim4china?

male, and you?

my brother attended osu and was in honors his freshman year.

this is what he told me about honors housing, from what he said all three honors housing are a little bit more on the studying side than an exact medium (duh?)

he said the honors dorm on south campus is your best bet for the most medium (party/study) experience as south campus is where most of the partying happens. (however take into account that the south campus dorms are the oldest/smallest etc)

he said the honors dorm on north campus is the most remote (most toward the studying end of the spectrum) and thats where all the crazy kids who live in their books live. however the dorms on north campus are the newest and nicest.

and then the third dorm (its one of the towers on (don't quote me on this) west campus) is somewhat between south and west.

with that said, i think ill be going for either south or west campus.

Lincoln Tower is the best one!

yeah but dont you room with 3 other people? for some reason i think of that as a bad thing....:-/ is it actually pretty good?
