I'm a freshman & unsure of the difference between the two honors halls. Please let me know any pros or cons of either hall, or which you prefer. Thankyou!:)

down to personal choice. small differences between the two.
bullet point: atherton more “charming” in the common spaces, simmons slightly larger rooms and different layout. They are located right next to each other, attached I believe
My conversations with many SHC students leads me to the conclusion that there is no clear favorite/choice. My child (who also knows SHC students in both dorms) decided to roll the dice and not indicate a choice.
I bet if you searched on this site, you’ll find some discussion on the subject

Remember: you will be assigned a room with another millenium scholar and where they decide to house them (I suspect near each other, keeping with the concept of community) will determine the dorm. Again. doesn’t really matter

I’'m glad to see you are still considering the MS program and PSU

Thanks! I’ve heard basically the same thing. I’m probably going to go with Simmons for the slightly bigger rooms. And yes, I committed to Penn State MS finally!

Congratulations! I know that you have been quite diligent in your research.

Since you have been so conscientious in your decision-making, you may have already stumbled on the Schreyer video gallery. If not, there is a good-natured Honors Housing video that may provide some insight.
While the buildings are not attached, they are a stone’s throw from each other.

Good luck!

Thanks! I somehow didn’t even come across this video gallery!
