Hey Citizenreporter or anyone else,
Wondered if you participated in the Honors Scholars interview weekend (or know anyone who did in previous years)? Wondered what to expect from the questions. The applicants have to talk about /debate what they wrote on their application essay and the essays were weird! Just wondered if you experienced it.
Thanks!

Hey Buckeye!

I did not participate in the Honor Scholar interview weekend, but I did participate in another one (Media Fellows). Obviously, the interview process is quite different, but I asked a few friends in Honor Scholars and they said it wasn’t that bad after all. The general consensus among them was that they all felt they did horribly after the initial interview (where they debated their essay) but got in to the program. They said there is no real way to prepare because you won’t know who you will get as you interviewer and what kind of questions they will ask. Some ask super specific questions while others ask more general ones regarding your essay.
Good luck with everything!!!

Thanks, Citizen, for again being so helpful! That info helps a lot, just to know that everyone seems to feel that the interview is a bit difficult. Anxious to explore your beautiful campus!

Just reporting back that we had a really great visit. We liked and were impressed by everyone we met, from faculty to students to Tiger at the Inn. Campus was beautiful and easy to navigate and the facilities were modern and top-notch. DePauw is a school worth looking into!
