Honors Lecture classes - Fall II semester

My DS asked me to research for him! He’s looking at picking up a Fall II Honors seminar and wanted to know if any of you or your kids have experience with either:
Society Needs Dissent (taught by Jacob Hester)
Law’s Liberty (taught by TBD)

He’s a freshman - but seems to have his courses pretty well under control. Both of these sound interesting to me…(not that this matters)

What is the general opinion of these “short classes”? I think it’s kind of cool that such diverse topics are offered - and can be added once you have a feel for your class load. Never had that luxury when I was in college.

I don’t know about either of those courses but I’m a freshman and I just signed up for the Fall II course on The Roosevelts. I agree that it’s a really cool opportunity, especially for people whose schedules are fairly predetermined by requirements, to get to take interesting electives in such specific subjects. I’m already enrolled in a freshman seminar about the Middle East and that has been fantastic.
