I go to a private school near Georgia tech. I am seriously considering going to tech to be an engineer. For my senior year, I am trying to decide if I should take honors physics of ap bio. My school doesnt offer ap physics.
I am taking 2 other ap classes (english and BC calc). Which one would GT rather see? I don't want to take ap bio unless it would be helpful in college, but if it helps me get in, which should I choose?

It depends on the type of engineering your going into. Physics would be way more helpful for most engineering and some engineering schools require a year of physics.

Physics. Easy.

So if i majored in mechanical or industrial engineering do you think GT would rather see the physics as opposed to another ap class?

Maybe you could take the AP Bio in school and dual enroll at a CC and take Physics, or vice versa. Just a suggestion since you’re only taking 2 APs.

Basic physics :: engineers as dribbling: NBA players. i.e. an important and obvious prerequisite.

AP Bio isn’t a wow-factor class anyway, I’m sure GT would rather see physics than biology.

Thanks for the responses everyone. They’ve been a great help

If you’re going engineering I don’t see how not taking Physics can help you in any way.
