Honors Program and USC

Hello
i was wondering if you guys could help answer some questions i have about transferring to USC from a community college.
I am aware of the 4 general Ed categories, i have completed I, II, and III before entering community college this fall. My question is, after i complete all 4 required categories, what other classes should i take to meet the 32 units required for sophomore transfer? Should I take any honors courses? And this may be slightly OT but while i am focusing mainly on transferring USC i like NYU as well, will it be a problem if i take the USC general ed classes use them to apply to NYU and other schools? Thank You.

While I can't answer for NYU, I can try to answer on USC, seeing as I've spent the last year and a half going through that process... thankfully, paying off a couple of months ago today.

In terms of honors courses, I don't think USC really cares, so whether you take it is up to you. But not taking them won't hurt you.

As for what you should also take, in addition to GE's: I'd recommend you finish the writing and math requirement if you haven't yet already, as they are mandatory in order to get admitted. If you have completed those, then I'd suggest also working towards completing whatever prerequisites you can for your intended major.

Here's a link that should cover most of what you're looking for.

Also be sure to check your school's articulation agreement with USC, which will help you on what courses will transfer over and which won't:

Good Luck!

thank you very much for your help, I forgot to mention i completed algebra 2 in High School. I am not very good at math and was wondering if i should take math at Community college, because it may lower my GPA. Once again, thank you for your help.
