Does anyone know how the qualifications work for James Scholars at UIUC Engineering? I know we're not notified for a while, but the website says you need to have an ACT of 33 or above and a high school rank of at least 99% (http://admissions.illinois.edu/academics/honors_colleges.html#ENG). I saw in another thread though that the only qualification is a 33 ACT or above. I go to a very very competitive high school that does not rank. I know I'm in the 95th percentile but definitely not the 99th. Will I still qualify? I also have an ACT of 34 and was admitted to Bioengineering. Thanks in advance!

Last year the qualification depended on ACT score and they were considering adding clas rank but a call has determined it will still be via test score 33 or above.
