Honors program & scholar's weekend

The honors program is pretty easy to get into.

They had acceptance rates up somewhere in a really detailed chart - as long as you have a grade in the A range, and a SAT score above 2000, then you have a 98% acceptance rate.

If you have a grade in the A range [90 or above] and a SAT above 2250, theres a 100% acceptance rate. It was a PDF somewhere on the Honors Site for UD.

If you have below a 3.0 and a 2250+, the acceptance rate is 0%. lol.

Re: Honors Program. Last year the admitted freshmen count was 460, which means they'll have to accept many more, depending on the expected yield. Go to this link and find the link to the current freshman class profile.

Resources for Prospective Students

Many more of you will get in!

that profile only makes me more mad cause im definetely in the top 120 students of that class. dfjkadfjldjkljasfdasjfl

I wouldn't give up quite yet on thinking you won't get into the honors program or get a scholarship. My son is a freshman this year. He did not receive his acceptance until the first week of April, yet he was accepted into the Honors program and he received a full tuition scholarship. He is very happy at UD. I wish you and all the other high school seniors out there good luck!

wow i had no idea that you could still get tuition if you weren't invited on the weekend. that gives me some hope. thanks for the support!

so word on the street is that there is a standardized test of some sort at this weekend. anyone care to explain the format?
and if i'm coming up by myself for the weekend do i stay in a dorm or do they put me up in a hotel? i'm a tad bit confused

They will put you up in the Courtyard Marriott on campus on Friday night. If you come in on Thursday or stay on Saturday -- you can spend the night in a dorm (must bring sleeping bag and pillow). This is for the student only! Parents must make their own reservations at another hotel (Courtyard is fully booked for Friday). I have heard there is a three hour exam along with interview but haven't heard anything else.
