Hi, I’m an admitted student, and I’m interested in the honor program. Does any one know how does the program work? Do I need to apply after I enroll as a freshman? Or is it assigned to me by the college? Or I need to apply for the program while I applied for the college–which seems unlikely to me, because the application does not show this option, and I didn’t know until recently. Thank you.

Dear Labyrinth : If you are talking about the Honors Program within CAS and CSOM, these are not programs for which you can just apply in your freshman year. Students are invited to be in the Honors Program based on their applications and academic backgrounds. These invitations are either included in the acceptance package or via an additional letter issued within short order of the acceptance.

Sophomores with the interest and credentials from their freshman year are invited to apply for the Honors Program based on available space. Details about the admissions process are available on the Boston College web site.
