Has anyone from the ED pool received an invitation to the Honors program, yet? My son's rank is probably too low, but I was curious anyway.

NVM - I just heard that they are finalizing the list for invitations to the Honors program for ED students. Here are the avg. stats:
Mean GPA 96
Mean Rank 97th percentile
Mean SAT 2106
Mean ACT Composite 31

Have any ED students heard from the Honor’s program, yet?

Does anyone know when RD students will hear from Honor’s program? I’ve seen beginning/middle of April in several places, but I’m not sure.

I’ve not seen any posts from either ED or RD students. Anyone else?

Just saw on the Honors FB page that invitations will be sent out “soon”. No additional information.

We asked about the honors program in the accepted students’ chat last night and were told that they would go out the first week of April. Has anyone heard? I assume not…

Thanks for that update Ayraton.

D’s Honors invitation packet arrived today.

Congrats!!! Do you mind sharing where you live and possibly her stats and what major she is in?

I’m sure you both are very pleased and proud. As you should be!!

Thanks. Sending PM.

We just got back from spring break and our son’s Honors Program invitation was waiting for us - I think it arrived on April 3 or 4. He is very excited about it!

My son got his honors packet too, and he’s decided to enroll at RIT. He had just visited Clarkson too, where he got into the honors program there. It was a tough call because I think the Clarkson honors program is a bit better, but RIT seems to offer so much more.

Now that we have sorted out the issues with DD and the art program they have told us that her Honors invitation is in the mail. My goodness did it take a lot of phone calls and fussing to figure out what was going on.
She had her portfolio accepted back in November and didn’t have to submit it on line during the application process. When we spoke to the chair of the school of art at accepted student’s day (actually about additional aid) she said that DD should email her portfolio directly to her and she would take a look and see if it needed to be re-evaluated.
So that’s what happened. She ended up giving DD full marks for her portfolio and that fixed the snafu with the Honors program. The chair did re-appeal the financial aid award on our behalf. So we’ll see if anything happens with that (I’m a bit skeptical that we can get anything more).
That being said, we will tighten our belts and hold on to our hats and send her off to RIT. She has turned in her special interest housing application so we are waiting to hear more on that front.
