Honors Program!

@piftw idk yet. it sounds interesting and i don’t know too much about the program, so i guess it’d be good to go. but UCI isn’t one of my top top choices and i’m still waiting on a bunch of other schools so idk if it’s worth it to fly down.

My parents don’t want to fly me down, so I’ll probably not attend the Experience Day. I’m probably going down during my spring break and/or attending SOP for Honors. Hoping I get wowed by Irvine because I’m considering going(:

I would really encourage you guys to attend if at all possible.

It’s an excellent day to learn about the benefits of the honors program (which are enormous) and see UCI. Most current CHP students say that they decided to come to UCI because of honors experience day.

Wow MarciMar91, thank you for the incredibly detailed and enlightening description of the honors program. I’m definitely going to strongly consider attending UCI now. Of course, I’ll still have to visit the campuses, but your account definitely pushed me towards UCI. The thought of an LAC education/experience at a public university price sounds too good to pass up.

does this mean if we were chosen for the honors program then our chances for the upper UC’s namely UCLA and UCB are very high?

Does anyone know when we have to RSVP to Experience Day???

RSVP by March 10

Can anyone go into more detail about the benefits of this program by experience?

So I got an invitation to the honors experience day, but there’s still no admission decision on my UCI account. Did anyone else have this happen? Also, I applied as a nursing major which required a supplemental.

I really want to get excited, but it would really suck if the email was a mistake or something!

PS. I’m also from the Bay Area (:

what are some of the perks for CHP that make it better than going to UCSD or CAL? the site lists them but I mean how special is “honor housing” and “priority small classes?”
CHP sounds amazing by the looks of it, and I’m considering going to experience day!

And btw - I’m also from the bay area. lol
