Honors Question

I was accepted into the honors program at FSU, and I intent to be in it if I end up going to FSU. However, I won't be notified about whether or not I got into UF until February 8 and I would like to see if I got in or not before choosing which school I go to (Not saying I'm only going to FSU if I don't get into UF - I just don't want to commit yet).

The question is this - does sending in my registration for the Honors program bind me to going to FSU? I want to send in my form as soon as possible but I don't want to do anything binding. The same goes for applying for housing once it is available on the 15th - it is binding?

Thanks!

I guess I will just call FSU tomorrow.

It isn’t binding  Housing isn’t either - you just don’t get your money back haha. But yeah you can register for the honors program without committing to FSU. I know that because I got in too and was curious about that when I wanted to pay the dues.

You won’t end up getting any $ back from FSU that you spend (so you’d end up losing possibly a few hundred bucks in the process). Housing applications can be canceled if you end up not attending.

There’s very little at FSU that is “binding.” In fact, most everything isn’t binding simply because they don’t require notification of whether you intend to attend or not until May 1- which is well after many of these other deadlines pass.
