Honors Scholarship

Is it negotiable with their FinAid office? What is the minimum you can receive? How will it affect you if it goes over your Cost of Attendance?

As far as the minimum honors scholarship, this may help:

[NJIT: Albert Dorman Honors College: Scholarships](Scholarships | Albert Dorman Honors College)

Apparently the minimum is $5K per year IN ADDITION to any NJIT Faculty Scholarship (between $5K-9.7K that you may receive).

NJIT was very, very generous with regard to the scholarship offer to my son, who has been admitted to the Honors College.

If the scholarship exceeds the COA (as it did for a friend’s son last year), it can be applied toward research or other school related expenses.

Thanks for the reply mtown27. I don’t know if I should negotiate with the fin aid bc I got a lower amount than the supposed minimum of 5000. Not sure what to do.

^ I just sent you a PM.

@mtown and Luminiz, May I ask if appealing scholarship amount works? NJIT has offered only the minimum 5K for ADHC scholarship. We were given the impression that close to a full ride maybe provided. Is this true…pl. help. May I have suggestions as to how to go about appealing?

one more thing they did offer D the NJIT faculty and Presidential scholarships, but is the ADHC scholarships more generous for OOS?
